I recently graduated in December and I am certified in FCS Education. Interested in teaching FCS first (live in Ohio, but would be willing to move if the perfect opportunity arises), but if no jobs are available I was wondering what must be done to teach another subject. Currently, the place I mainly sub at has an English opening. Of course, I've had the main English courses/electives while getting my bachelors degree. Is it even possible to get hired as an English teacher with only a FCS certification? Please inform me of any openings in FCS and/or steps I must complete to get another certification in English. Thanks, I appreciate it.
